Winter: In the Snows of England and France
Over the last few years, the Master Singers have performed most of Francis Poulenc's
a cappella masterpieces, and they complete this excursion with three of his best-known works, the
Mass in G Major, the
Prayers of St. Francis for men, and the
Petites Voix for women. The ensemble will also perform great English part-songs by the best of the 20th-century composers, including Benjamin Britten, Gerald Finzi, William Walton, C.V. Stanford, and Gustav Holst.
