Winter: In the Snows of England and France

a cappella
masterpieces, and they complete this excursion with three of his best-known works, the
Mass in G Major
, the
Prayers of St. Francis
for men, and the
Petites Voix
for women. The ensemble will also perform great English part-songs by the best of the 20th-century composers, including Benjamin Britten, Gerald Finzi, William Walton, C.V. Stanford, and Gustav Holst.
Spring: In the Time of Elizabeth I
Queen Elizabeth I's reign was well-known for artistic, literary, and musical achievements. The Master Singers begin with Benjamin Britten's
Choral Dances from "Gloriana"
, written in praise of Elizabeth I. The ensemble then moves on to the
Mass for Five Voices
