Accolades
Read what The Washington Post has to say about the Master Singers in their December 28, 2003 article.
- "The Master Singers of Virginia is among the state's finest choral ensembles..."
- "...it's just unbelievable how they sing, and the director is so engaged."
- "Watching Jones at a pre-concert rehearsal is like catching a glimpse of a master painter putting the final touches on a fine portrait."
- "Jones nods, and beautiful music surges forth. The work is mature and unfamiliar. The sound is textured, complex and pure."
"When the 28 voices of the Loudoun-based Master Singers of Virginia come together, the audience is given a bouquet of notes, notes that are honed and refined to their purest state." - Loudoun Times Mirror
"The group was phenomenal, just fantastic. As good as any ensemble of its kind that I've ever heard. Really solid musicianship all the way around. Intonation, as you know, when dealing with modern music can be a hit or miss proposition but the Master Singers really did musical justice to the Martin Mass. Well done." - David Gaines, composer
"Since hearing you perform in First Night and on March 11 (when we invited four people to drive out from Bethesda and Frederick for the pleasure of hearing your concert), we are definitely fans of the Master Singers..." - Leesburg, Virginia
"The Master Singers are truly a birght star in Loudoun's crown." - Loudoun Arts Council
"Absolutely marvelous." - Jed Gaylin, former Loudoun Symphony conductor
"Inspirational and uplifting." - John Krumich, Musical Director, SCORE
"Your selections were perfect, the singing delightful and your holiday spirit contagious. Our members join with me in commendation and appreciation of your very fine concert." - Leesburg, Virginia
